             Program of activities 2025 to 2026

• Technics required in painting.   Date 21/5/25.   Course grade – Easy to Moderate.
• Painting Simple Landscapes.    Two Sessions 28/5/25 and 4/6/25. Course grade- Moderate.  Course fee- £25, including materials  .
• Pentangle 3D Art. Date 11/6/25.  Course grade – Easy to Moderate. 
• Cyanotype printing.  Date 25/6/25.  Course grade- Easy to Moderate.
• Course fee – £25, including materials . 
• Paint a Seahorse.  Held between 6/8/25 to  13/8/25.  Course grade – Moderate to Hard.
• Make Metal Mobile.  Held between 20/8/25 to 17/9/25.  Course grade – Moderate to Hard ( items welded by instructor).
• Neuro Graphic Art.  Date 1/10/25.  Course grade – Easy for Beginners. 
• Drawing/ Painting anything sessions. Held between 15/10/25 &  29/10/25.  Course grade – Easy to Moderate.
• Painting Water in any form. Held between 12/11/24 & 26/12/24.  Course grade – Moderate to Hard. 
• Christmas craft work.  Held between 10/12/25 &  17/12/25.  Course grade – Easy for Beginners.  Course fee – £25, including material costs.
• Decoupage Craft & Pentangle 3D art drawing. Held between 7/1/26 to 21/1/26.  Course grade – Moderate.  C
• Valentines Card making.  Held between 4/2/26.  Course grade – Easy for Beginners. 
• Painting flowers in any medium.   Held between 1/4/26.  Course grade – Easy to Moderate.
• Making Roses out of Copper.Held between 4/3/26 to 18/3/26. Course grade – Moderate to hard. 
• Wood Turning.  Held between 15/4/26 to 29/4/26 ( date may vary).  NOTE: venue TBA…will not be No 65.  Course grade – Easy to Moderate. 

Many of the  arts & crafts taster sessions have been designed to bring out the skills that we know people have and that you will enjoy the experience with others like minded participants in the class – Maximum of 6 per session please. Should there be a large interest in any of the sessions we may hold additional classes the following week or make available another slot throughout the year. 

So if you want to become a budding Michelangelo or Vincent Van Gough, or Jackson  Pollock to name just a few, then book now  for one or more of the following sessions.

Technics required in painting.   This essential knowledge you will learn and to help Create wonderful works of art for future courses. It is therefore important to know how to paint, draw,Trees, sky, clouds, water, mountains and a lot more.

• Held between 21/5/25 ( will hold additional classes following weeks, if needed)
• Course grade – Easy to Moderate

Painting Simple Landscapes.    Using Acrylic paints on canvas blend colours to form  Sky, clouds and either land or water beneath, then Surrounded by trees and/or mountains. Create  Beautiful sunsets or sunrises for all to marvel upon.

• Held between 25/5/25 to 4/6/25
• Course grade- Moderate ( will require knowledge on paint skills/technic, assistance given)
• Course fee- £25, plus materials  or (Free to Shedders Members)

Pentangle 3D Art.   Using Felt tip pens on white paper you will be drawing shapes and patterns That will form into 3D visual works. Modern art right before Eyes. Stunning effects when done on a large scale.

• Held between 11/6/25 ( may possibly hold additional sessions throughout year)
• Course grade – Easy to Moderate 

 Cyanotype printing.   Using specialist paper impregnated with chemicals placed onto The sheet objects such as; leafs and  flowers . Expose to Sunlight for approx 10 minutes , then take the inside wash off.Then watch the magic as photo negative print will form In white upon a lovely blue background. 

• Held between 25/6/25 ( will require additional time for work to dry – return next wednesday)
• Course grade- Easy to Moderate ( Assistance given by instructors)

Acrylic Pouring/ Merging.   Create stunning colourful art works by mixing then Pouring onto canvas the acrylic paints and then watch as it Blends into beautiful shapes and form cell-like patterns. You’ll be amazed by this contemporary art. Not a Jackson Pollock more like Andy Worhol on High !!

• Held between 9/7/25 to 23/25 ( finished works will take time to dry)
• Course grade – Moderate to hard-ish (assistance given)

Paint a Seahorse.     Paint underwater backdrop then stencil a pattern of a Seahorse Onto canvas. Now pour colour merging paints to stencil and Using wipe techniques blend paints and form cells in the shape of A very colourful  spectacle Seahorse painting.

• Held between 6/8/25 to  13/8/25 
• Course grade – Moderate to Hard ( assistance and time given)

Make Metal Mobile.   Out of metal you will cut, bend and shape the materials to Create a balancing structure that will move  in the wind for your garden. We hope you will enjoy designing then building this object.

• Held between 20/8/25 to 17/9/25 
• Course grade – Moderate to Hard ( assistance given and items welded by instructor)

Neuro Graphic Art.  Drawing cell like forms and patterns then paint or colour in to create beautiful mind blowing works of art. 

• Held between 1/10/25 
• Course grade – Easy for Beginners

Drawing/ Painting anything sessions.  Bring in or decide to do whatever you feel confident to try and achieve. Course tutor will be on hand to help and advise you to create your choice of artwork. Exception being Live nudes sitters!

• Held between 15/10/25 &  29/10/25
• Course grade – Easy to Moderate
• Course fee – £25, plus material costs  or (Free to Shedders Members)

Painting Water in any form.  Participants will have the choice to paint in either watercolor or acrylic medium  that highlights water in its many  forms:- Clouds, water falls, rivers, seas, rain and raindrops. Pour it on and watch the transformation.

• Held between 12/11/24 & 26/12/24
• Course grade – Moderate to Hard 
• Course fee – £25, plus material costs or (Free to Shedders Members)

Christmas craft work.  Yes it’s come around again when we look to create other wonderful pieces of festive work. You will be advised in due course on what this session will involve. Making Reindeers , Christmas cards who knows what,  but please ask nearer the date. Children accompanied by adults are welcome to these sessions.

• Held between 10/12/25 &  17/12/25
• Course grade – Easy for Beginners

Decoupage Craft & Pentangle 3D art drawing.  This craft involves transferring a printed picture onto a wooden tablet or ceramic tile or glass. Using a photo of your choice, get a copy laser jet printed to the size that fits, say  the wooden tablet.  Now glue the picture side down and after a period of time the printed photo will transfer just like magic onto the surface of the material. To reveal the photo image, rub away the paper backing to expose the lovely print that will be left. As the above craft will take more than one session and some time for the glue to dry we will fill in the time by drawing more Pentangle art works.

• Course grade – Moderate

Valentines Card making.  For your loved ones we will create beautiful cards by using decorative tissues, glues, coloured pens, scissors  etc. Much more creative, interesting and different from the shop bought ones.

• Held between 4/2/26
• Course grade – Easy for Beginners

Painting flowers in any medium.   Start of spring is a great time to learn to paint flowers in their many forms and beautiful colours.  

• Held between 1/4/26 
• Course grade – Easy to Moderate.

Making Roses out of Copper.   From templates cut and bent the metal to form ;- leafs, Stem, petals then shape the petals to create a lovely Flower. Spray paint or Varnish or leave to rust. 

• Held between 4/3/26 to 18/3/26
• Course grade – Moderate to hard. ( instructor will assist and weld up components)

Wood Turning.    Learn the knowledge of shaping and cutting pieces of wood on a Lathe. Expertly demonstrated by a skilled wood turner.  Venue TDB…will not be at No 65

• Course grade – Easy to Moderate ( turning skills assisted by qualified instructor)
